Anita Darleen
Campbell
Jul 2, 1960 — Sep 13, 2024
Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.""
Revelation 14:13. NIV
If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. 2 Timothy 2:11-12 NIV
Memories are the most beautiful legacy that those we love can leave us, and in our hearts we never lose those we truly loved. So even if time passes, the love and memories will last forever.
The light that Anita left us never goes out, it simply shines in another place, and what better place than eternity with our Heavenly Father.
Those of us who knew Anita can agree on what a great blessing it was to enjoy her up close. Always strong, determined to continue and live on this side of heaven with an unbreakable faith that challenges us all.
We thank God for the time he decided to share her with us and we embrace the hope of seeing her home one day. Although her last days on this earth seemed difficult, the legacy she leaves us is: her complete trust in who God is and the promise of an eternity with Jesus our savior if we put our trust in Him.
Anita was a glimpse of God on this earth and a walking blessing to all of us who knew her. Although there is a void in our home and we miss your laughter and voice, we know you are in a better place. What a joy it was to be part of your life Anita!
Anita Darleen Campbell With profound sadness, we announce our dearly beloved mother and friend Anita Darleen Campbell joined our Lord in Heaven on September 13, 2024. Anita was born in Jackson, California to James and Patricia Gonsalves Hamm on July 2, 1960. Anita and her family moved to Red Bluff, California in 1966. As a child, she loved to play the piano and dance ballet. She attended Red Bluff High School where she met the love of her life and future husband, John Robert Campbell. John and Anita were married on December 27, 1981. They had two sons, John Trevor and Clayton Robert. Anita lived a full life as a mother, homemaker, worker in the health insurance industry, and a devoted member of the church. In her young adult life, she was active in the Women's Auxiliary of the Red Bluff Fire Department and enjoyed joining John in participating in local chili cookoffs. Many memories were made through family camping trips to Medicine Lake and the coast. She retired as the manager of Villa Columba (Mercy Housing) in Red Bluff. She will be dearly missed by family and friends and will forever be in our hearts. Anita is survived by her two sons, John Trevor (Michelle) and Clayton Robert (Maribi), grandchildren (Baylee, Josh, Rachel, Jasmine, Tyler, Bella), 4 great-grandchildren, her mother Patricia Gonsalves Hamm, her sister Tina Bortolazzo (Steve, Kayla, Cameron), numerous cousins, and very close friends. She is preceded in death by her husband John Robert Campbell and her father James Gonsalves. A celebration of Anita's life will be held November 9th, 2024 at 4pm at the First Church of God in Red Bluff. The family asks whoever would like to attend to bring a entre or side dish, photos, and stories you'd like to share.
