Anita Louise
Gossett
May 29, 1957 — Aug 13, 2026
Red Bluff
Anita Louise Gossett was born in San Francisco, California on May 29, 1957, to parents Luis and Sada Zendejas. A longtime resident of Red Bluff, she passed away on August 13, 2026, in Red Bluff, California at the age of 69.
Anita had many different occupations during her life-from teacher's aide to care assistant to working at the Salvation Army. She worked many happy years with the staff at the Salvation Army. She also had many different activities she enjoyed. She was an excellent seamstress and decorated her home with much of her work. She was very crafty and also knitted and crocheted. She also painted and not just on canvas. She decorated the fence in their yard with different animals, especially horses. Anita loved horses and used to help a friend take care of 12 or 13. She never got around to learning to ride, but she thought of them as "big dogs".
Anita married David Gosset in 1979 and they had 2 children, Kristy and Ruben. Sadly, Ruben predeceased Anita.
She also was a singer in her husband's classic rock band. Too shy at first to even be on stage, the band eventually coaxed her to try. Once she got comfortable, she LOVED it.
Anita is survived by her husband, David, her daughter, Kristy Knight, her sister, Maria McGinnis, and her brother, Mike Zendejas. She lived to see 3 grandchildren.
