Obituary

Bobbie Lynn Gutierrez of Red Bluff passed away on April 2, 2023 at the age of 63 after a long illness with cancer. Bobbie passed away peacefully at home in her husband's arms. Bobbie is survived by her husband of 36 years, Gregory Gutierrez of Red Bluff, son, Gregory Gutierrez Jr (Rachell) of Red Bluff, her mother, Ada Richards of Marysville, her two grandchildren, Libbie Gutierrez and Grayson Gutierrez of Red Bluff, sisters, Debbie Chaney of Texas, Robbie Mitchell of Marysville, brother, Clyde (Rich) Richards III (Tara) of Yuba City.  5 nephews and 3 nieces. And her precious pups, Ellie & Gemma. Bobbie was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Richards Jr, sister, Carrie Picard and 1 nephew.

Bobbie moved to Red Bluff in May of 1982 and had worked for several retail and grocery stores in the community where she had held clerk and manager positions. In the workplace Bobbie was known for her soft, sweet demeanor and intense attention to detail. Bobbie continued to work until 2016 when she became ill.

Bobbie & Greg first met at a New Year's Eve party on December 31 , 1985 , where they quickly became friends, fell in love, became engaged and were married by October of 1986. The happy couple welcomed their son Greg Jr. in 1988. She not only became a member of the Gutierrez family but she became a member of the CDF (Cal Fire) family also, where she would single handedly keep the household together while Greg was away on long work shifts and campaign fires.

Bobbie loved to go RV camping with friends and family . S he especially loved to go camping with her two grandchildren at the wonderful RV parks along the California coast. She enjoyed taking her pups out on walks especially on the beaches and always had a knack of finding pretty agates and neat pieces of driftwood that she would adorn her flower beds with when she returned home.

Although she was a homebody, Bobbie also loved to travel and been on multiple ocean cruises with her close friends. She often traveled with Greg to his professional fishing tournaments all across the United States as well as to Spain and Portugal for international fishing tournaments.

The one thing Bobbie was known for was her generosity and her dedication to family and friends. She would often be seen with one of her besties in tow while she was out shopping making sure to hit every aisle, looking for the perfect gift for that someone she was thinking of.

Bobbie was also known for her compassion for others who were sick and would share her knowledge and experience to help navigate the medical field to get the proper care for someone who was sick . S he always tried to inspire others to be strong in their time of illness.

Bobbie was a Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister and Friend to many . S he was loved by those that me t her and will be missed by all!
