With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Denise Lynn Laird. Born in San Pedro, CA, on August 25, 1956, Denise was the beloved daughter of Beverly Joan Follett and Leroy Wayne Laird (both deceased) Denise is survived by her brothers Wayne Laird, Steven Laird, David Laird and was the very cherished sister of step siblings Kathleen Torgersrud Varela (deceased) David Torgersrud, Brad Torgersrud, and Elizabeth Torgersrud Valentino.

Denise grew up in San Pedro, CA where she graduated from San Pedro High School in 1974. A trailblazer, she pursued careers in fields that were mostly male-dominated, demonstrating her strength and determination. She was a long-time United States Postal Carrier, a role she took great pride in, and she retired after many years of dedicated service.

In 1994 Denise moved out of San Pedro and up to Los Molinos, Ca to be closer to family. Even after 30 years in the North State, Denise always considered herself a Pedro girl!!

Family was at the heart of Denise's life. She deeply loved her nieces and nephews, often speaking of them with affection, regardless of distance or time apart. Her family, friends, and community will always remember her for the warmth, strength, and the love she shared.

October 10, 2024 warm and loved, safe in her home, Denise walked into Jesus arms where she is now reunited with all of her loved ones that have left this Earth too soon. Denise's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and she will be missed dearly by all.
