Doris Marie Hartwick departed on October 6th, 2020. She is survived by her three sisters Arletta Irene Klock, Alice Jean Shackelford, and Henrietta Faye Noriekas, her three children Paula M.DiLaura, Michael R. Hartwick(Trudi) and Sarah I. Bollingmo(Garrett) along with her 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great- grandchild.
She was predeceased by her parents Horace H. Clason and Nellie M. Clason, as well as her husbands. She was born in Riverside, California, on June 3, 1937, and lived in Riverside County for the first 37 years of her life. She moved to New Brighton, Minnesota in 1974 and lived there for 25 years. She then moved to Red Bluff, California to be close to her family.
Doris attended Riverside Community College and used the experience she gained there in her position as Housewares Manager for JC Penney's, where she specialized in custom draperies for 20 years. Her love of art had led her to become an accomplished artist, working in oils, acrylics, ceramics and fiber arts. She used her crochet abilities to create hundreds of blankets, hats and scarves that she then would donate to Tehama County's 'Empower Tehama', 'PATH', and 'Share the Warmth programs'. She also showed her love of art through her many oil and acrylic paintings, as well as, her ceramic and fiber arts.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
