We lost a prayer warrior on Sunday, September 25, 2022. Doris is now with our lord Jesus. She went peacefully. Doris was born in Kallispell, MT, on May 01, 1925, to Marvin (Jack) and Mildred Lewis. She married Roy (Monty) Nelson, after dating six months, on March 17, 1949. They met through Roy's sister, Ruth (Nelson) Giest. Her interests included; gardening, oil painting, reading Victoria Holt books. She was involved in prison ministry through High Point, where she was a member for 48 years and going to Bible studies. She was preceeded in death by, her husband Roy and daughter Judy. She is survived by her son, Danny (Roberta) Nelson and daughter Teresa (Michael) Spliethof, grandson Devon (Rochelle) and great granddaughter, Clara. Doris was also preceeded in death by her two siblings. Her brother Ernest (Eileen) Hope and sister, Rita (David) Morris. Doris will be greatly missed by her family and friends.


The services will be held on: Thursday, October 6, 2022 at High Point Assembly, 635 Luther Rd, Red Bluff, CA at 9:00 AM. Followed by a precession to IGO Veterans Cemetary, 11800 Gas Point Rd, IGO, CA at 11:00 AM. The reception will be held at the Red Bluff Elk's Lodge, 355 Gilmore Rd, Red Bluff at 12:30 PM.
