It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ernest Gomez Mellado Salazar of Red Bluff, California, who left us on the second of August, 2025, at the age of 82.

Ernest was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 62 years, Peggy Tessiea Salazar. Once they took each other's hand, they never looked back; for theirs was truly a match made in heaven. Together they raised their three sons, Anthony G. M. Salazar, Sean G. M. Salazar and Matthew G. M. Salazar.  He is also leaves behind his brother, Ricardo G. M. Salazar, nine grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
