Garry Louis
Lourence
Aug 25, 1942 — Sep 16, 2021
Garry was born at Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Red Bluff California in 1942 to Minne and Louie Lourence. He grew up on his parents ranch in south Red Bluff with his three siblings Jim, Donald, and Wayne. When he was younger he enjoyed working on and operating ranch equipment.
He graduated from Red Bluff High School in 1961 and was involved with FFA. As he got older he enjoyed going to class reunions to catch up with friends.
In 1963 he married Penny Green and they had 4 children Connie, Pam, Will, and Betty. They were married for 17 years and then went their separate ways. A few years later he met Betty Mathews and they were married 36 years. They enjoyed going to Cattleman's Field Days and Portuguese Festa's.
He found a career in trucking and then went to equipment operating. Years later he went back to his roots in the cattle trucking business and retired from that profession some years later. His memory will be lived on through his kids and grandchildren. A long time resident of Red Bluff, he will be missed by family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at the Elks Lodge on Gilmore Road in Red Bluff January 22, 2022 from 12 to 3.
