George Thomas McCarty, 76 years old, of Red Bluff, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital on November 3, 2021 after complications from a stroke.

George was born on February 19, 1945 in Fresno, CA and moved to Red Bluff at the age of twelve where he continued through school. George graduated from Red Bluff High in 1962.

In 1963, George met Dana at Stout Hall in Red Bluff and married in '64. Not long after they had their first son Jeff and continued with Greg, Lonnie, Lori and Wes McCarty. The family moved to Modesto, CA in 1975 where the kids finished schooling.

George was employed as a Truck Driver for various companies throughout Modesto and Red Bluff. Many may remember him from racing motorcycles for Johnnie Ross Motorcycle Shop throughout the State.

George is predeceased by his mom Mary, father Carrol "Moose" Burgess and his youngest son, Wes.

He is survived by his Wife, four children, twelve grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many other loved family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place Sunday December 12th, at 1 o'clock, at the Red Bluff Elks Lodge
