Helene Evelyn Shain was born in California on October 11, 1936 to parents, Norman and Robina Johnson. A longtime resident of Red Bluff, she passed away on July 8, 2026 at the age of 89.

Helene led a full life working as an assistant in a doctor's office for 30 years. She enjoyed bowling, but her special activity was buying herself a car. Nothing made her happier than changing her vehicle-it didn't even have to be a new one, just different.

Helene is survived by her children, Donald Thomas, Robert Thomas, Janet Barone, and Vicky Morgan. She lived to see 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
