James L. Burris Sr. passed away July 14, 2021 at the age of 79, in his home surrounded by family, after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife (and high school sweetheart), five children, 19 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many friends. His legacy is one of working hard and playing hard as well. He enjoyed family gatherings and made everyone feel like family. He diligently studied the Bible and sought Truth with all his heart. He is dearly missed but his legacy lives on in his family and friends.

Born in Little Rick, Arkansas, Oct 5th 1941 to Audra(Pryor) and Gideon Burris. He grew up in Oak Run/Palo Cedro, Ca. through middle schooland then moved to Ventura, where he attended Ventura High School and met his sweetheart and wife Margaret (Deardorf). They have 5 children.

He worked for PG&E and retired after 35 years of work in the Bay Area of California. They moved to Red Bluff after retirement. James loved the scriptures and constantly studied and shared his insights with all who would listen. He also love archery, bowling, golf, abalone diving and most of all his family. He will be remembered by the many lives of the people he touched.
