Jeffrey David Whetstone, age 57, of Los Molinos, California, passed away on March 12, 2026 at Saint Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff, California.

Jeff was born on December 17, 1968, in Corning, California to Dave and Linda Whetstone. He grew up in Los Molinos and Graduated from Los Molinos High School. He went on to attend Butte College and built a career as a skilled welder and fabricator.

Jeff shared a devoted 17-year partnership with Kim Boyster, who was an important and loving part of his life.

Jeff was an outdoorsman at heart. He loved golf, bow hunting, exploring back roads, and playing pool. More than anything, he treasured time spent with his family ad loved ones. Jeff was known for his incredible ability to fix or build just about anything and for always being willing to help anyone in need. He had a heart of gold and a genuine love for people.

He was especially proud of his skill with a bow and his athletic abilities in baseball and football.

Jeff is preceded in death by his mother, Linda Connor, and his sister, Shelley Rae Renner.

He is survived by his father, Dave Whetstone; his stepmother, Melanie Whetstone; his son, Bryer Whetstone (Katie), his beloved partner, Kim Boyster; his grandsons, Wyder and Finlee Whetstone and Steven Guera; his stepbrother, David Roof (Robin); his niece, Jena Roof; his nephews, Chris Hamilton (Samantha) and Casey Roof; and his great-nephews, Cason Brodie, and Tate Hamilton.

A graveside service for Jeff and his sister, Shelley, will be held at Los Molinos Cemetery on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
