Joan Marie Hawker Tamagni, born March 13, 1942, went to be with the Lord suddenly on April 3, 2022, after a short illness.


She was preceded in death by her mother, Amy Marie Anderson Hawker, father John Morgan Hawker, and step-mother, Blanche Paull Hawker, brother Norman Jack Hawker, sister Terri Leslye Hawker, husband of 56 years Richard Ernest Tamagni and infant daughter Antonia.


She is survived by sister Jonna Hawker Turek, sister-in-law Marlene Tamagni Barris (Tom), son Gregory Scott Tamagni, daughters Tracy Tamagni (Guy) and Stephanie, grandchildren Scotty, Josh, and Cory Lyford, Alysha Lyford Ramirez, Kurtis Gipson, Talon Tamagni, and ten great-grandchildren.


Joan treasured the many friends made during her working life, beginning with customers at her father's Los Molinos Feed store and continuing with her coworkers at Zuckweilers Department Store, Rydel's Shoes, Blue Shield Insurance, Elmore's Pharmacy, and Lassen Medical.


Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and she was always up for any adventure with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren (who called her "Grandma Great").


Whether watching her grandkids playing sports, shopping with her daughters, joining her friends at Silver Sneakers, or traveling, she was always on the look-out for new friends to add to her collection.


Joan was a long-time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.


A celebration of Life Service will be held at the Red Bluff Elks Lodge on Friday April 22, 2022 at 2 p.m.
