Rita was born to Frank and Rosalea Krick on April 10, 1927 in Spalding Nebraska, the second of four children. In 1942 they moved to Red Bluff Ca. She graduated from Red Bluff High school in 1945. She worked in the probation department and later the AAA office untill she married Claus (Bud) Treoe in 1948. They had three children, John, and  twins, Jan and Jill. Her husband died in 1974. She remarried Ray Sims in 1977 and they moved to Capitola Ca. untill Ray died in 2004 when she returned to Red Bluff to be near her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, brother Jim Krick, sisters Anna Marie Kennedy. and Bonnie O' Bryan. Rita passed away on February 18, 2026 at the age of 98.

A celebration of life will be scheduled soon; actual date is yet to be determined.
