Robert W. Hinkle of Gerber, California fell asleep in death on November 11, 2018. Born to Floyd and Pearl Hinkle, Robert was 82 years old.

He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Pearl, his son Anthony and his brother Jack Hinkle of Willows, California. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Betty Hinkle, his four children, Cindy Huber, Deborah Peabody, Shannon Hinkle, and Anja Eklund and their spouses. His siblings Gene Hinkle of Antioch, California, Carole Bippus Willows, California, Virginia Kanne of Fairfield California, 11 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren and an extensive and loving extended family.

Born in Nebraska and resetttled in Tehama county as a baby with his family. Robert was a minister of Jehovah's Witnesses and a respected business owner. His family business, Hinkle Roofing was founded in the mid-1960s and continues to be a well-known and respected name in the community. It is still family run and in operation. Robert died the way he wanted to die at home, with all of his children around him, singing to him, reading Scriptures to him, and reading all the many lovely text messages sent to him.
