Ronald Gray
Burlison
Nov 3, 1937 — Mar 26, 2026
Ronald Burlison passed peacefully in his sleep after complications from a fall. Ron was a talented finish carpenter and used his talent to restore many buildings in the local area. He had a passion for trains and loved to travel with his wife and best friend Pat. They spent many years on weekend excursions and traveling the United States. Their next destination was always a Railroad Museum. Ron was an avid historian and civil war buff. One of the highlights of his travels was a trip to Gettysburg with some of his children. He also traveled to San Antonio, Texas where he got to see the Burleson Family Bible in the Alamo. He was able to do some research on his family's history.
One special trip he and Pat took was with his children to New York in 2009. His children recall nearly getting arrested by port authority when trying to board the ferry. They all joke about the bail money it would have taken to get the Burlison Bunch out of jail. He also loved to tell stories about events in his hometown and surrounding areas.
Ron was a talented musician. He played the banjo, guitar and sang in bands. His children remember him playing at Lassen View Elementary when they were little.
He is survived by his children, Lori (Mark) Niel, Dan Heard, Tracie (Eric) Bates, Ron (Vicki) Burlison, Julie ( Danny) La bant, John (Kim) Burlison, David (Jennifer) Burlison, Danielle Burlison and Christina Burlison. He also leaves behind 19 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Burlison, and his parents, Joe amd Beulah Burlison, and his siblings Varney (Nettie) Burlison, Verlin (Edna Mae) Burlison, Don (Mary) Burlison, Opal (Archie) Kissee, Joanne (Hugh) Muir, Maxine (Craig) Owens, Peggy Peichoto. and William Burlison.
Ron was 88.
