Shirley Connelly, a mother, sister, and lifelong educator, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2025, at the age of 97 in Cottonwood, California.

Shirley dedicated 35 years of her life to shaping young minds as a grade school teacher. After retiring, she moved to Cottonwood, where she spent the last eight years of her life.

She is survived by her son, John "Joe" Connelly, and her brother, Bud Winkler.
